In-Ground Data Collection Analyst
CricViz have been selected to provide the ECB with official scoring and performance data for the 2022 domestic season. We are looking to add people to join this exciting project at the following locations:
- Durham
- West Midlands (Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Northants)
- London (Surrey, Middlesex)
- South West (Somerset, Gloucestershire, Glamorgan)
- Hampshire
Requirements
- To be considered you must be live within easy travelling distance one of the venues listed above
- Over the course of the 2022 season you will be expected to be available for matches played at the venues to which you apply
- This will normally amount to around 50 days per year
- Full training and equipment will be provided
Matchday Duties
- Arrive in good time for the toss or start of play
- Collect ball by ball data during play covering basic scoring (runs, wickets, extras) and performance data (batting, bowling and fielding)
- Corroborate with scoring partners and verify the data after the match
Essential skills
- A love of cricket and in-depth knowledge of the teams and players in domestic men’s and women’s cricket
- Full knowledge and understanding of the laws of the game
- Good IT and mouse skills
- Ability to concentrate for long periods and excellent attention to detail
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to travel to county cricket venues on match days
Desirable skills
- Experience in electronic scoring of cricket matches or performance analysis systems
- Coaching, scoring or officiating qualifications
